Please be
aware that the Pennsylvania Department of Education will discontinue
using educators' social security number to enter and track Act 48 credit
hours. Instead, all certified teachers, including librarians and
guidance counselors will be expected to use a PDE-selected professional
personnel identification number. You need to begin using your new number
immediately!
Your number has been assigned by PDE. In order to learn what number you
are expected to use to sign up for credit or check your Act 48 records,
you must follow these directions:
Go to the PDE web page
www.pde.state.pa.us
On the left, select Act 48 Reporting System
Under Educator Options, select Get Your Professional Personnel ID
Enter data in all five boxes. Use 2 digits for the month of birth, 2 for
the day of birth, and 4 for the birth year. For example: 07/25/2006
When you get your professional ID number, you should write
it down in a safe place and use this when applying for ACT 48 and for
applications, etc. |
