Mrs. Penn's Classroom Rules

  1. Be on time for class! You will be written up after three late arrivals without a late pass.
  2. Students will be dismissed by the teacher, not by the bell. Stay seated until dismissed.
  3. Be prepared for class. Have your books open, your notebook open, and your pencil sharpened at the start of class.
  4. Use a pencil unless otherwise instructed.
  5. Write English assignments and tests in your student planner. Planners will be checked periodically.
  6. Go to the lavatory before coming to class. Permission to go to the lavatory during class will only be given in emergency situations (unless I have been notified of a medical reason).
  7. Treat fellow students with respect. Disrespect of any kind will not be tolerated.
  8. Cheating of any kind on a test or assignment will result in a 0% for that test or assignment.
  9. All school rules will be enforced in class.

  1. Be on time for class. You will be written up for arriving late for homeroom without a late pass.
  2. Always bring schoolwork to homeroom…this includes books, notebooks, pencils, etc. Homeroom is a silent study hall. If the class is studious, some time will be given at the end of class to talk quietly.
  3. Go to the lavatory before coming to homeroom. Permission to go to the lavatory will only be given in emergency situations (unless I have been notified of a medical reason).
  4. You may not leave class without a pass unless you are leaving for regularly scheduled activities (band, enrichment, snack sellers, etc)
  5. Treat fellow students with respect. Disrespect or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
  6. All school rules will be enforced in homeroom.
