Cooperative Nursery/ Outdoor Classroom Timeline Science Curriculum Eligible Content A Look At Our Microinvertebrates (This may take a few minutes because its a huge file!) | We would like to take this opportunity to thank C/G Electrodes for their contribution to our outdoor classroom/fish nursery! We would also like to thank Mr. Bob Bolt and everyone who helped him in writing a grant that enabled us to receive a Wind Turbine. We will now be able to see how much wind energy we receive throughout the year. Another person we would like to thank is Mr. Chris Casey and everyone who helped him, in receiving a grant from the Pennsylvania Conservation Corps. Welcome to the home page for the St. Marys Area Middle School Outdoor Classroom and Trout Nursery Project. The purpose of this project is to get the students involved in an outdoor classroom with a trout nursery as its main focal point. The project has generated tremendous student interest, community interest, community service and authentic learning experiences. It has linked community, students, government officials, state agencies and environmental groups in doing and learning. The project is closely tied to curriculum and Chapter 4 standards in science and mathematics. The outdoor classroom and fish nursery is currently being run by St. Marys Middle School Principal Mr. Murray Neeper, faculty member Wayne Fordoski along with the middle school outdoors club.
