Homework

Homework is an integral part of your child’s education. The purpose for homework in Fourth Grade is to reinforce skills taught in the classroom and to help fourth graders develop lifelong study habits...

Every night your child will bring home his/her folder with homework and completed classroom assignments. Your child is responsible for getting the assignments done and turned in on time. All I ask of you is that you sign the student planner so that you are aware of daily assignments.

Thursday nights: Remember to study for Friday’s tests

Math: The fourth graders will almost always have a math paper or math book assignment on Monday through Thursday.

Reading: The story of the week will be assigned to be read at home at least two or three times a week.

Read an A.R. Book: 20 minutes each night Monday through Thursday.

Spelling: Assignments will vary day to day but students should be studying the word list daily.

Social Studies: Assignments for this class will usually be special projects and are not scheduled on a weekly basis.

English: Unfinished in class assignments may periodically be sent home.
