Dancing Through the Decades Project
Directions
In groups of 4 or 5, you will be studying a decade in history ranging from the 1910’s-1990’s.
Steps to Follow
* Research your decade.
* Create a Power Point Presentation to display your new-found knowledge using the format given to you.
* Learn a dance that originated during this decade.
* Practice this dance in class.
* Be prepared to present your dance and power point presentation to the class.
To Turn In:
* Power Point Presentation (6 slides per page) AND your Flashdrive or CD it is saved on
* Typed paper stating each group member’s contribution to the project
* Typed Reference Page (minimum 5 websites and 3 interviews)
* Dancing Through the Decades Grading Sheet with Group Members Names listed
The following is a grading scale for the project:
Power Point Presentation ________50 Points
Presentation of Dance ________50 Points
Points may be deducted on an individual basis if you did not contribute to your group’s project.
