Minutes
- The St. Marys Area Board of School Directors held their regular meeting April 8, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. in the Library of the St. Marys Area High School. The meeting was called to order by board president Robert Luchini.
- Pledge of Allegiance
- Directors Present: John Healy, James Herzing, Charles Liptak, Robert Luchini, John Mulcahy, Matthew Quesenberry, Patricia Rezmerski. Directors Absent: James Baumgratz, Bryan Chiappelli.
Others Present: Anna Kearney, Cynthia M. FinGado, Joseph Collins, Josh Williams, Joe Schlimm, James Wortman, Robert Grumley, Christine Kuhar, Terry Straub, Mark Romain, Marty Mahan, a representative from The Daily Press and The DuBois Courier and two (2) visitors.
- Comments from visitors including comments on federal programs.
- Presentation – Alicia Gerg and Matthew Quesenberry gave a presentation to the board on their recent AP Economics trip to New York City
- Superintendent’s Comments
- Minutes from the workshop meeting on March 7, 2013 and the regular meeting on March 11, 2013 were approved.
Motion by John Healy, seconded by James Herzing – motion carried by a voice vote of all members present.
- The treasurer’s and cafeteria reports for February 2013 were approved.
Motion by John Mulcahy, seconded by Patricia Rezmerski – motion carried by a voice vote of all members present.
- Approved Payment of Bills
General Fund April 2013 and office checks for March 2013

- May Board Meeting Date
Approved changing the date for May’s regular board meeting to May 9, 2013.
Motion by Patricia Rezmerski, seconded by James Herzing; voting yes: John Healy, James Herzing, Charles Liptak, Robert Luchini, John Mulcahy, Matthew Quesenberry, Patricia Rezmerski – motion carried.
- Resolution
Approved a resolution authorizing the Superintendent of St. Marys Area School District to sign any and all contracts, agreements, grants and/or licenses with the Pennsylvania Department of Education. (Attachment No. 1)
Motion by John Mulcahy, seconded by Patricia Rezmerski; voting yes: John Healy, James Herzing, Charles Liptak, Robert Luchini, John Mulcahy, Matthew Quesenberry, Patricia Rezmerski – motion carried.
- Administrator Compensation Plan
Approved the Administrator Compensation Plan for the 2013-2014, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 schools years as per Attachment No. 11.
Motion by Patricia Rezmerski, seconded by John Mulcahy; voting yes: John Healy, James Herzing, Charles Liptak, Robert Luchini, John Mulcahy, Matthew Quesenberry, Patricia Rezmerski – motion carried.

- Cen-Clear Child Services Agreement
Approved the agreement between Cen-Clear Child Services, Inc., and the St. Marys Area School District. (Attachment No. 2)
Motion by John Healy, seconded by James Herzing; voting yes: John Healy, James Herzing, Charles Liptak, Robert Luchini, John Mulcahy, Matthew Quesenberry, Patricia Rezmerski – motion carried.

- Approved the request to start a Skilled Trades Booster Association Club at the St. Marys Area High School for the remainder of the 2012-2013 and into the 2013-2014 school years. (Attachment No. 3)

- School Vehicle Driver
Danny Salley was approved as a vehicle driver for Anthony Muccio School Transportation.

- Field Trip
- The request for HOSA Club students to attend the State Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on April 17-19, 2013 was approved. Approximately fourteen (14) students will participate.

- The St. Marys Area High School senior class trip to Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio on May 28, 2013 was approved. Approximately one hundred (100) students will participate.

- Approval was given one (1) student to attend the PMEA All State Band Festival in Erie, Pennsylvania on April 17-20, 2013.

- Approved the St. Marys Area High School Marching Band trip to Florida during the Spring of 2014.

- Use of Facilities
Approval for use of St. Marys Area High School Cafeteria on Sunday, April 14, 2013, from 9:30am-11:00am for breakfast to feed National Honor Society participants in trash pickup was given.

Approved personnel actions as listed. All employment approvals are provisional for thirty days pending receipt of Act 151 and Act 34 clearance documentation and pre-employment drug testing if applicable.
