Requirements & Ideas for 8th Grade Presentation
PROJECT GUIDELINES
1. Your project will consist of a written report on your artist and an oral presentation.
2. The written report is worth 100 points. It must fit the following requirements:
a. Typedb. 12 point, Times New Roman Font
c. Double Spaced
d. 3 pages in length
e. Cover Page with Name, Date, Period, Artist Name
f. You must include a works cited page.
3. The presentation is worth 50 points. It must fit the following requirements:
a. 5 minutes in lengthb. You may only use 1 note card when giving the presentation.
c. You must have a recording of an APPROPRIATE song.
d. You must make a poster of your artists.
4. The written report and oral presentation must be in your own words. Do not plagiarize off the Internet or any other source you use! If your written report or oral presentation include information that is copied directly from your sources you will automatically receive a 0 for the entire project and you will be written up for academic dishonesty.
5. I need to hear your song before the presentation. Start bringing in the recordings now! If you do not have a recording, see me ASAP!
6. You can not switch the group you are presenting on. Once it has been assigned that is your group.
7. If you need to use the library more than what we do in class, see me for a pass during study halls and homeroom.

5 minutes (100 %) = 25 points
4.5 minutes (90 %) = 22.5 points
4 minutes (80 %) = 20 points
3.5 minutes (70%) = 17.5 points
3 minutes (60 %) = 15 points
2.5 minutes (50 %) = 12.5 points
2 minutes (40 %) = 10 points
1.5 minutes (30 %) = 7.5 points
