In groups of two, the students will act out parts of the story, each acting as
one of the characters.
Assessment Tool:** Teacher observation
Activity: Using
the story The Wild Woods, students will discuss the plot of the story
and the theme of friendship between Jess and Grandad. Using Unit 2, Lesson 3 from "Don't Laugh at Me",
students will play "Secret Pals."
Teacher will put the name of each child in a hat and have children
anonymously pick a name. Students will
do something nice for that person by the end of the day.
Duration: 30 minute
class period, concluded by end of day
