Activity: Using the book, Hooway for Wodney Wat, students will discuss what happened to Wodney Wat in the story.  Wodney is a rat who has difficulty saying his r’s.  As a result he is teased by the other rodents.  Until one day when a new rodent, a very large and mean rodent, come to school.  Wodney ends up becoming the school hero when he finds a way to rid the school of the new bully!!  Discuss with the class other ways to handle bullies in school and the community.  

 

Duration: 30 minute class period.
