Answer: By relating or illustrating our own personal experiences and lives in our work.
2. Performance Question: Draw something that shows action or relates experiences.
Assessment Tool: The drawing will reflect some part of their lives.
Activity: Students will make a collage out of old magazine pictures that represent something that has happened in their lives and the emotional reaction they had at the time. Example: Cut out a picture of a dog, a car, or a car tire, a road, and an array of pictures from magazines with some of the following expressions…sad, angry, or depressed, and glue them on one piece of paper. Example 2: Cut out a very obese person, a very skinny person, and people laughing.
Duration: 1 hour
Resources for this activity: old magazines, scissors, glue, construction paper, and pencils or markers
