The meaning of citizen's/student's rights and responsibility of an individual in a democratic organization

 

Student will be able to:   Give examples of citizen respon­sibility that impacts on (student) government. (voting)

 

 

Assessment Question:   How does compliance with rules and responsibilities enhance a

                                          positive atmosphere with peers?

 

Paper / Pencil:  Name three examples of student responsibilities.

 

Answer:

 

I) Treat others fairly   2) Cooperation and friendliness   3) Helping when needed

 

Performance Question:  Demonstrate methods of making students feel welcome AND methods of making students feel segregated.

 

 

ACTIVITY: Scenario/skit demonstrating responsibilities in interacting (with other students) that make other students feel included and welcome.

 

Assessment Tool:   Discussion by sharing ideas with others and asking relevant questions

 

Duration: 10 minutes for performance; 10 minutes for processing
