1. Paper/Pencil:* Why is it important for everyone to participate in our class discussions?
Answer: So that everyone can have a turn, practice talking in sentences, have a chance to ask questions and everyone will have a chance to participate.
2. Performance Question:. All students will participate in a Show and Tell. They are to bring in a Christmas item and tell (1) who gave it to them (2) what is it and (3) show how it works.
Assessment Tool:
Teacher observation, student demonstration and presentation
Activity:* Read the story “That’s What a Friend Is”. Afterwards each students will participate in a Show and Tell and introduce their “special friend” to their classmates.
Duration: One 30minute class period (Depending on the size of the class, this lesson would take longer to do.)
Resources for this activity:

Students will bring in their special friends from home.
