Mrs. Woodford's Homework

Below you will find some general guidelines for homework for my class.

*For second graders, homework should last no longer than 30-40 minutes. If you find your child needs a good deal more time than that to finish assignments, please let me know!

Every Evening: Practice reading your vocabulary words and their meanings. Study spelling words. Study your addition and subtraction flash cards for at least 10 minutes. Read something!

Tuesday: Complete the Math worksheet sent in the homework folder.

Wednesday: Write any missed spelling words 3 times each on the back of your Spelling pre-test.

On the last day of our Reading story, the Reading folder activities are due. The story should be read at home at least 2 times. Check the newsletter for due dates!

Please check your child's vocabulary sheet in the Reading folder to see when the vocabulary tests will take place. For every reading story, there will also be a story test, which will be listed on the newsletter.
