Even better, dental care is usually at no cost to you. All insurance is accepted including Medicaid and PA CHIP. A low cost self-pay option is available for those without insurance.

Our in-school dental program saves you time and provides a safe and comfortable place for your child to receive gentle dental care from licensed local professionals. Dental care includes a complete dental exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride and sealants when necessary, and in some cases, restorative care such as fillings.

Tentative St. Marys Area School District dates are listed below:

 
  • St. Marys Area High School - January 12th-13th
  • St. Marys Area Middle School - January 12th-13th
  • South St. Marys Street Elementary - January 14th-15th
  • Fox Township Elementary - January 20th-22nd
 
There are several options available for parents and students in the St. Marys Area School District to meet 28 PA Code (regulations) 23.3(a)* states "Dental examinations shall be required on original entry into school and in grades three and seven."  Parents may choose to have a dental examination performed by their Family Dental Provider, participate in the SMILE Mobile Dentist Program, or choose to have a dental screening provided by the SMASD Dentist, Dr. Nedzinski in the late spring of the school year.
