The provision of our FCC Call Sign is not necessary with the submission of any Proposal for this request.

It may be helpful to note that of the quantity of radios requested within this RFP, 6 radios will be designated for School Police Officers. For these 6 particular radios, we are looking to allow communication on 9 different analog channels and 8-9 separate digital channels, at minimum. The remaining radios would only need one digital and one analog channel.

What licensing would this be referring to?

A. The bid specification incorrectly includes license as a part of the bundle. The Lenovo devices do not need to include licenses as a part of this bid.

Q. Would all 50 devices be ordered in December?

A. The district intends to order all 50 devices in December.

Q. Are you accepting bids for refurbished Lenovo laptops.

A. No, we will only accept bids for new devices.

Q. Since most of these contracts typically far exceed the total page number allowed for the response, would it be acceptable to include Legal Documents (Contract) as an attachment to the response and not have it count for the total page number? Can there be a similar allowance for our energy audit sample? Can there be a similar allowance for the “customer satisfaction form”

A. Yes, attachments are acceptable. If you do, please indicate in your response that it will be emailed to me and the email address that you will be sending it from.

A. Yes, it may be in an appendix

Q. What total ESSER $’s will be allocated for this project?

A. We will not be using ESSER or ARP funds for the projects.

A. This has not been determined yet.

Q. What is the District’s annual energy and O&M budget?

A. $447,000 for water, sewer, natural gas and electric. Our O&M is a part of a maintenance contract.

Do you have floor-type square footage (VCT, Terrazzo, Carpet, etc.) or a typical supply cost for stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet extraction?

We do not have the square footage broken down in that way.

Those analyses can be done during the walkthrough on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

Will all equipment for floor care be provided by the chosen vendor or does the district own such equipment that can be utilized?

The District doesn't own any equipment. That will be the responsibility of the vendor.

Do you have an average yearly cost for disposables/consumables?

We don't have that metric. Feel free to disaggregate consumables as a separate line item using estimated yearly consumption. Industry-standard formulas would be acceptable. The average annual yearly cost would be greatly influenced by an individual vendor's buying power.

Am I correct in assuming we would be responsible for the exterior entryways no further than 15 feet out?

General sweeping and leaf removal at entryways would be expected. Nothing more.

Would entryway and sidewalk snow removal fall under the maintenance team's scope?

Snow removal would fall under the maintenance team.

Would extra events be billable? If not, do you have an anticipated event schedule and durations of events?

Extra events are not billable unless they are outside of normal shifts/workdays. For example, it is expected that custodians will remove trash from the bleachers after basketball games during the second or third shifts. A special event (e.g. youth wrestling tournament) would be billable. If the Activities Department has a comprehensive schedule that would be useful for this purpose, we will provide it.

Regarding attachments and reference materials:

The District needs enough documentation to be comfortable with the bidder's ability to provide appropriate documentation. For instance, a one-page document listing the chemicals that MSDS sheets would be provided for is adequate. All MSDS sheets are not required.

Are DocuSign or e-signatures acceptable?

Yes, electronic signatures are acceptable.

Do we need to have a performance bond at the time of bid?

A performance bond is only required if the contract is awarded. It's only necessary for the vendor to acknowledge this requirement. A bid bond should be secured at the time of the bid or, at bare minimum, notification that it's forthcoming should be provided.

4. Is manufacturer warranty with 24 by 7 by 4hr support required? Or will next business day be sufficient? Next business day could be considered, but 4-hour response is preferred in our mission critical environment

5. What cables will be required for the host to switch connections? 10 Gbps DAC Cables (SFP+) would be required for the link to our core. Dual switches running VRRP exist at our core and each host should have a redundant downlink. The DAC Cables will need to be 5 meters.

6. What is the switch manufacturer and model? Extreme X670 48p

7.Do you prefer DAC or fiber for the SFP28? SFP28 should be DAC

8.Do you want dual CPU for the main servers? Dual or Single, 32 Total Cores with similar criteria to the RFP is desired
